UAE air defence systems intercept UAVs launched from Iran
Authorities report no new casualties in Sunday’s attacks
ABU DHABI – The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that UAE air defence systems successfully engaged two UAVs launched from Iran on Sunday.
The ministry said that since the onset of what it described as “blatant Iranian attacks”, UAE air defence systems have engaged a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,265 UAVs.
Authorities confirmed that no martyrs, fatalities or injuries had been reported during the past hours.

Since the beginning of the attacks, the total number of martyrs has reached two, in addition to the martyrdom of a Moroccan civilian contracted with the Armed Forces.
The ministry added that the total number of civilian fatalities stands at 10. The victims were from Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian and Egyptian nationalities.
According to the latest figures released by authorities, the total number of injuries since the onset of the attacks has reached 230. The injured include individuals of various nationalities, among them Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan and Russian nationals.
The ministry continues to provide updates on the security situation and the operational response of UAE air defence systems as monitoring and defensive operations remain ongoing across the country.
